Study of origins and migration of Khenesir tribe on the northern coast of the Persian Gulf

Since late in Iran there have been numerous geographic divisions. These divisions sometimes are divergent because of the change political_ economic centers. One of these Geographical region is Khenesir. This study begins with default that the Khenesir region is a region in the south of Tangsir (Tangestan) but Khenesir region is more geographically larger than the Tangsir region and that’s base known as this name. The research on the term Khenesir has almost no background and there is not much information available. Lorimer (2015) is the first to register an important and relatively accurate information about the residence and profession of the Khenesir tribe. Hamidi (2001), a professor of Persian literature, has recorded the right amount of information the meaning of this geographical term for the first time. Material and Methods: The data of this study is based on reliable historical sources, archival documents, journals, field studies and oral history are collection, preparation and analysis. The present study is done by historical method and with an analytical-explanatory approach. Discoveries: Discoveries and historical evidence of this paper indicates that the origin of the of Khenesir tribe was located in the south of Tangsir (Tangestan) and obedient of Khan Dashti. In the beginning this region was defined to Kabgan village and adjacent but later expanded. Another achievement of this research is to investigate the backgrounds of slums formation in the south of the high wall of Bushehr seaport and explaining its exact location. Discussion of Results and Conclusions: The khenesir region has undergone changes over the course of history. Today the villages of Kalat, Hadakan, Chah-e Pahn, Zir Ahak, Bariku (Barikan), Lavar-e saheli, Balangestan (Golestan) and Kabgan are called Khenesir. It is observed crossing the area villages of Kalat, Hadakan, Chah-e Pahn, Zir Ahak, Bariku (most likely the village name is from narrow), Lavar-e saheli, Balangestan they’re all in a little distance from the sea and mountains and this violates the term khenesir which is a wider land than the tangsir as Kazeruni says the village of Zir Ahak lies in the blade of the mountain and at the base of the sea. It seems in the beginning only the village of Kabgan andits vicinity were known to have been altered by the changes of population and emigration. The existence of numerous wars among the khans of Dashti and Tangestan had made the region unsafe and The adverse conditions of agriculture and the concern of provision have led them to the port of Bushehr. At the height of the Herat war when the danger of damage to the city was felt by the British army, the governor of the Bushehr Mirza hasanali khan nasiralmolk, the order was moved to the south east of the which was dissatisfied with the decision which was interpreted as tyranny and cruelty so the new dwellings were called Jabrabad, Setamabad and Zolmabad.
